Review Columbia Crest, Grand Estates Shiraz ‘02

It seems to be the month of Carnivores…..Yes I have to admit if we could eat red meat everyday we probably would. We love it and tend to crave that rare, tasty treat even if a few days have gone by, so bare with us. You will notice Tri-Tip often as it is one of our favorites. Broiled, BBQ’d, roasted, etc. We do promise that everything we pair with our wines will be TASTY!

Tonight we had Ti-tip Roast and a spinach salad. We enjoyed our meal with Columbia Crest, Grand Estates Shiraz 2002.

Columbia Crest Grand Estate Shiraz 2002 originates from Washington State. The vineyards seated 14000 feet up on the Cascade mountain range provide what is needed for this wine with 6-8 inches of rainfall a year. The mountains block the eastward weather systems stemming from the Pacific Ocean.

Columbia Crest Grand Estate Shiraz 2002 has unique wonderful flavors and aromas. White pepper, Strawberry and Rose petals separate this wine from others. We found it to be good from the first taste. I enjoyed sipping it prior to the meal, the uniqueness of the flavors made me question how it would fair with our meal. It was good with the Tri-tip roast. I would enjoy trying it again to take in all the different flavors and aromas this wine brings to the table. It was a nice surprise……

We rate this wine (Good)
