2008 First Blog and Message To Our Members.

When we started this site we had a distinct plan on how the site would run and be operated. First and foremost it had to be fun, easy to navigate, and the content had to be controlled mostly by the members. A place you feel comfortable coming to, a classy, 21 and over, relatable, tasteful community. As our wine community has grown there are members who have taken the torch of furthering wine information by blogging. Blogging is the future in the wine industry for fast information, one that does not have to wait for a periodical to come out. Bloggers put incredible feedback in to an industry crying for truth. No executive in the world can match the truth behind a simple honest blog.

Though our numbers are few, we are a huge growing industry.We at The Wine Space see you as the blogger, the future location where the wine industry will look to further their wares. This wine community allows you to reach the world with your blogging insite. We do not have to be a professional to do a blog about a wine we like or dislike, but the more we blog, experiment with and taste wine, the more professional we become. Your inner thoughts are now written down in blog form for your blog reading audience. Because of this we have opened up the blog section for the rest of the world to see. A lot of you are even good enough to be considered in the future blog awards that are given out yearly.

So in the future when you do a blog, invite all your friends, relatives acquaintances to read them. If you visit a winery tell them you are a blogger. I once was told by a fellow blogger that I deserved the same respect as any other writer in the wine industry. This included wine being sent to us to try and review, meals or hotels comped. I had to agree with him, we are a force to be reckoned with. Now visitors to The Wine Space do not have to be members to read the blogs, they will have to join if they want to leave comments. This puts your blog out where it deserves to be……….In the public eye and is looked at as an online magazine of wine, recipes, food, photos. Collectively we can change how a wine community site is viewed. You can impact what a reader purchases just by your blog…….That is Incredible and mind boggling. What is also cool, is that the blog reader can read all the archived blogs……What a wealth of knowledge they can learn.

You see; by your input whether it be wine, recipes, restaurants, reviews or a winery visit, you give up to date and some times up to the hour wine information that the public yearns for.

One more thing we can do is all agree upon a rating system. There is the 5 star system, the 100 point system, 20 point system the half bottle or full bottle system, or the yum system…..and many, many more. Our system is available for you to copy and use. This puts us all on the same level, and gives us an idea of where we are all coming from. We are direct marketing to prosumers and building relationships with our readers. Their is no site out their like this one that allows you the member, so much control over what is posted on our community. Whether it is the photos, recipes, travel, recommendations, wine drinking, blogging, reviewing, discussing, praising and tasting experiences…….. we impact to a huge degree what the internet reader see, reads, and buys. We are thrilled that you all are sharing your wealth of information with TheWineSpace members and the world, we enjoy reading your blogs and value your input immensely. We would like to see all members use the rating system on this community, it binds us together as one, and gives us a rating scale we can all agree upon.
