Category: artistic
Blog Entry: Have you ever traveled to the Adirondack Mountains of Upstate New York?  Do you like to experience good wine in different settings?  If you answered yes or are open to a different adventure, then check out the Adirondack Scenic Railroad's Wine and Blues Express.  The train departs at the Thendara, NY station for a two hour trip that follows the Moose River.  On board you are invited to sample wine from one of the New York Finger Lakes Wineries while listening to a local blues band perform.  What more can you want: a scenic train ride through the Adirondacks, good wine, and a live blues band!!!!!  We took the train hosted by Hosmer Wineries from Cayuga lake NY.  Their Riesling has won the 2007 Governors Cup Award--it is sweet, light, and refreshing!!!!!  That's coming from a cabernet sauvignon lover!!!!!  If you're ever up north in the Adirondack Mts of New York in the summer on a Saturday evening, you have got to check out this event.  Here's the address to the railroad website and Hosmer Winery:  http://www.hosmerwinery.com/ http://www.adirondackrr.com/   "Do what you like and like what you do"
