They remember what is convenient to help their cause... disregard the rest. I do not forget! I do not forget that about 12-15 years ago Tim Mondavi was disparaged by the press... repeatedly... for not making the "fruit bombs" that were the "style du jour". He was making elegant, balanced, food-friendly wines. They got scores that were satisfactory... but not the deserving scores . He hit his mark.... got what he wanted... which is why the scores were curious. He could have changed his style..... to get those scores... to sell his wines... easier. He did not. But, the consumers, those who were not swayed by the RP glitz, etc..... stayed loyal and enjoyed his wines. And now, after all these years... the pendulum swings BACK! Amazing isn't it?
